New Changes to Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program for 2026!

After 8 years of running the full-service CSA program you’ve come to know and love, we have found we’ve been spending far too many miles on the road and are shifting the CSA to a fully on-site model for 2026 and beyond. 

What’s New: The new CSA will be a free-choice membership model whereby you’ll purchase your membership share in the winter, and you’ll then pay a discounted membership price for your flowers at the farmstand all season.   You’ll be able to choose between a number of options each week and can shop any time the farmstand is open – including early and late in the season.

What’s Changing: We will no longer be delivering any CSA flowers as we spent far too many hours and miles on the road over the past few summers.  As we have built up the on-farm farmstand, our goal has been to encourage more people to come out to the farm and shop.  We know this is a major shift for our off-site folks and we hope you understand our reasoning for the change.   Please be in touch with us for alternatives in your specific geography.   We also won’t be designing bouquets specifically for our CSA members - you’ll be able to choose what you like best!

The Details: The membership will cost $100 and you’ll receive a 12.5% discount on flowers as often as you want to shop at the farmstand.    Each week there will be a few flower options available to members at a discount, always including our jumbo bouquets.   

This means you’ll have a choice of which flowers you like best!  And we will be opening the farmstand up on Wednesdays starting in spring 2026, so you’ll be able to shop ANYTIME between Wednesday morning and Saturday evening.   It will still be a self-service honor system so you’ll need to be extra diligent about tracking your purchases on the purchase log, but we’ll be making some updates to it so you can clearly indicate if you’re a member and what price to pay. 

The Value to You:  Some of the obvious values to you are the freedom to choose the flowers you like best, and extended hours so you’ll no longer have to come only on Thursday afternoons.  You can also go crazy at your favorite times of year (can you say tulips and ranunculus???) and not come at all when you’re too busy or out of town. 

How It Works: The membership can be used at our farmstand every Wednesday through Saturday during the growing season (Typically late April-November). The membership price for each eligible item will be clearly marked next to the regular price for the item. When you’ve chosen your items and want to pay, you’ll fill out a simple purchase log indicating your name, whether your a member or not and the price for your items. We accept cash, check or Venmo at the farmstand and you can shop as much or as little as you like.

Using a jumbo bouquet as an example, the retail price is $40 and the membership price will be $35 (12.5% discount).  That means you’ll save $5 on each jumbo bouquet you purchase.  The farmstand was open over 30 weeks with fresh flowers in 2025 and a few more weekends for the holidays.  There will always be a membership option available each week we’re open – so the more you shop, the more value you’ll receive!

Please note that the value to the farmer of any CSA program is to provide an important source of income in the non-growing months but at a time when expenses remain high (seeds, tulip bulbs, soil, greenhouse propane, etc.). Thus, we may choose to close registration at some point in the late winter/early spring to encourage folks to sign up during our leaner times.
